SUMMARY:2026 TCF Certified Instructor and Yang Style CMC Short Form Retreats
DESCRIPTION:SAVE THE DATE:  June 3-8\, 2026\n\n\n\nJoin us at our biannual TCF Certified Instructors Retreat! This is a wonderful way to connect with other teachers\, fulfill all the requirements for keeping your certification current for the next two years\, and deepen your tai chi practice. \nThis year we are returning to our traditional format of holding back-to-back retreats for TCF and CMC Yang Style taiji. Staying for the CMC retreat is a wonderful way to start learning traditional taiji if you are new to it; if you’re experienced with the CMC form\, this is an opportunity to review the entire form in depth. The registration options below will allow you to sign up for either or both retreats\, along with our Advanced Certified TCF Instructor training (requires permission; contact Pat Culotti or Rachel Sandretto if you are interested). \nLocation: The DeKoven Center in Racine\, WI. Learn more about the historical DeKoven Center at their website. \nRegistration Options: To begin\, choose your preferred room option from the list below; from there\, you can select which Retreat(s) you would like to attend: \n\n\n\nResidential Retreat: Single Room\n\nResidential Retreat: Double Room (share with a roommate)\n\nCommuter Registration (non-residential; meals are included\, but stay off-site)\n\nTCF Advanced Certification Training\, Online and June 3\, 2026 \n\nDates: Online in advance\, Wednesday afternoon\, and continuing throughout the main event.\nPrerequisite: Permission to attend. Contact Rachel for more information.\nInstructors: Rachel Sandretto\, Patricia Culotti\, and Advanced Certified Instructors.\nTraining: Become a TCF Certification Reviewer or Course Instructor. This is the most thorough and cost-effective way to begin the process.\n\n\n\n\n\nMAIN EVENT: TCF Certified Instructors Retreat\, June 3-6\, 2026\n\nDates: Wednesday evening – Saturday morning\nPrerequisite: Certification in TCF or TCFA\, or planning to certify at the retreat.\nProvides: 12 WPTA contact hours; keeps certification current for the next two years.\nInstructors: Patricia Culotti\, Rachel Sandretto\, and Advanced Certified Instructors: Russ Mason\, Lori Enloe\, Kristi Hallisy\, Kelly Rehder\, and Jonathan Loesch.\nTraining:\n\nReview Original TCF Form and TCF Adapted Program Basic Moves and Short Form or teacha TCF Form move in our feedback/discussion groups. Joinus in honoring Tricia Yu and remembering her at a private memorial.\nPractice push hands (optional) at several opportunities throughout the retreat.\nParty! Talent show/skits on Friday night!
